Phase I of the construction of Marty Stuart's Congress of Country Music is officially underway!
In October, renovations neared completion on the Ellis Theatre, marking a milestone on the construction of the $30 million project. Marty Stuart's Congress of Country Music will consist of a 50,000+ square foot campus featuring a newly constructed museum, classrooms, a community hall, meeting and event spaces, and a rooftop performance venue in addition to the Ellis Theatre.

About the Ellis Theatre:
Originally built in 1926, the Ellis Theatre will be completely restored to serve as a performance theater and multi-purpose event space. The Ellis will provide support to the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Arts Council for plays and performances. Construction on the Ellis Theatre stage will include gothic detailing and millwork with tracery wood detailing. The theater's original marquee, which was recently reconditioned, will remain at the entrance.
